Q&A: How do I transfer information from my Windows 98 computer to my new computer with Windows Vista?
Question by Ali: How do I transfer information from my Windows 98 computer to my new computer with Windows Vista?
My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas. She has been using an older computer that has been using the Windows 98 operating system. She wants to move all of her music and document files from the older Windows 98 computer to her new laptop with Windows Vista. Does anyone know how she can do that?

look for the files and settings transfer wizard, this should walk you through the whole process including making any disk you need as well.
Alternately plug the two machines into a network, share the drive on Windows 98 (very easily done on 98) and you will be able to see all the files from the Vista machine and can copy them.
