The hard drive can be removed form the broken laptop and placed in an inexpensive adapter with a USB connector so it can be plugged into a new laptop. You may then trnasfer files from the old hard drive to the new laptop.

  1. Pull the hard drive out connect it how you want to any other computer. You can get adapters for cheap that will connect your drive through usb. Hope that helped.

  2. I would just go purchase a hard drive enclosure kit. All you do is take out the internal hard drive of your broken laptop, and put it in the enclosure. The enclosure will turn it into an external hard drive that plugs in USB. Be sure to get the right connection (IDE, SATA) that matches your broken laptop hard drive.

  3. there are a bunch of things you could do including networking and enclosures
also most laptops have a serial connection for desktop style monitors which you can use to just drag data over to your new computer or another computer you have, or an external disk or some other storage media by basically hooking the desktop monitor up and seeing what exactly your doing on the laptop. and if you really don’t care you could just leave it be that way and use it just like that XD
