Question by Nekko: I filed a claim for my broken PPC6700. Does anyone knw if the insurance will send me a 6700 or a Mogul?
My pocket PC 6700 from sprint decided to take up water sports and now is broken. I filed a claim on it this morning and I’m going through the normal paperwork and channels, but I know that some insurances won’t send you a phone that’s no longer being sold by the carrier, come to find out my PPC 6700 is no longer on the shelves with sprint, and it’s replaced by the Mogul (PPC 6800). Will they send me another PPC 6700?

It depends on the replacement cost of the phone. If the 6700 is no longer available, they must give you a phone of equal value. If the 6800 is more expensive than a 6700, they might give you something of equal value. Here’s a tip though- if the 6800 is much more expensive, ask the insurance company what they are giving you as a $ value on your phone. Ask them if you can pay a little out of pocket to upgrade.
