Q&A: Software for taking a break from computer?
Question by yes1guy1no: Software for taking a break from computer?
My doctor recommended I take frequent breaks (after 1hr of computer usage). Does anyone know of any application that does this, that will pretty much disable the computer and force me to do something else. Heh, I guess you can call me lazy and such, because I could just turn of the computer, but I would like a reminder program, like a timer or whatever.

Or I’d have had a sad sad time growing up.
Good luck staying off the computer, you can do it! Go for a walk!
They’re called books! Also bicycles, running, jumping, playing, hiking, fishing, skiing helping other folks, are all good versions of programs which can be used to get you a break from the computer. If you want something more high tech, try motorcycles. It all starts with the double forearm push away!
If you absolutely had to have a computer program, try writing a batch file that prompts you on the screen and have the system auto execute it every hour. You could even record a wav file that shouts at you to get of your @$$ !!!!
