I lost the CD-ROM for my scanner and need to install it on a new computer?

Question by Gina: I lost the CD-ROM for my scanner and need to install it on a new computer?
Our old computer broke and now I need to install the scanner on our new computer but I’ve torn the house apart and cannot find the CD. Is there any other way to get the scan software on here? It’s an Epson Stylus CX7400 and the computer is a Dell Inspiron 1501.

  1. Google the manufacturer and download the driver from their web site.

  2. go online to the manufacturers website, and download the driver for your printer.

the CD just contains the driver, but in a disc form. you can download it if you are having problems, and they usually are free
